Cyueue is a new jailbreak tweak by none other than Jay Freeman aka saurik, the founder of Cydia.
Cyueue lets you queue up songs in the native Music app. It kind of allows you to create a playlist on the fly.
After installing Cyueue, when you press a song, it will prompt you with three options – Play Now, Play Next or Play Last. If you choose to the play the song now, it will stop the song you’re currently playing and play this one, or you can add it as the next song in the queue or add it at the end of the queue.
The tweak creates a runtime playlist called Cyueue in the Music app so you can always access it to see what’s up next. You have the option to clear the playlist and start all over again by tapping on the Clear button. Since it works like a temporary playlist, the Cyueue playlist is reset every time you start a new music listening session.
Once you get the hang of it (as in the position of the buttons), you will figure out that you can add songs to the queue by double tapping on the left, middle or right of the song name in the list.
As Saurik points out the tweak can come in very handy when you’re a house party and want to add songs to the queue, which is currently not possible in the Music app.
If you’re tired of your existing playlists, then it’s also a great way to create a runtime playlists based on your mood. It also works well with iTunes Match.
It doesn’t add any configurations options in the Settings app. Install the tweak to start using it.
I just love it. I’ve been wanting something like this for a long time. Let me know what you think in the comments.
Cyueue is currently compatible with iPhone and iPod touch. It is available on Cydia for $2.49. If you’re on a jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch then you can tap on the download link below to purchase and install the tweak.
