NCSettings Update Brings LTE Toggle To Notification Center [Updated]

NCSettings, a popular jailbreak tweak that brings settings toggles to Notification Center has just received an update.
In case you’re not aware, NCSettings adds a row of toggles for commonly used settings such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Location services, Cellular data etc to the Notification Center, thus allowing a user to enable or disable the settings from anywhere in the iOS.
It’s not as powerful as SBSettings, but it is sleek and very well integrated into the Notification Center. It also gives you an option to re-order the position of the toggles so you can configure it based on your preference.
Now coming back to the update, the developer has added the much awaited toggle for LTE.I like the way the toggle has been implemented. As you will see in the video below, when you tap on the LTE toggle, it disables the LTE radio and converts the toggle into a 3G toggle, and keeps 3G and 2G radios enabled. When you tap on the 3G toggle, it disables 3G radio and converts into a 2G toggle, if you tap on the 2G toggle then it re-enables LTE and 3G radios.
If you want to switch between LTE and 3G radios then you can configure this in the Settings app by selecting 3G / LTE (Settings -> NCSettings -> Data). The default is set to LTE / 3G / 2G.
Here’s a quick demo of the jailbreak tweak in action:
Please note if you want to disable cellular data completely then there is a separate toggle just for that.
The update (v1.7-1) also fixes the 3G toggle bugs and the touch delay when you tap on multiple toggles. Few days back, the developer had also added the toggle for the ‘Do Not Disturb’ feature.
As you probably know, I have been a big fan of SBSettings, but with the ‘LTE’ and ‘Do No Disturb’ toggles, I am switching to NCSettings as it just looks too good not to have it in the Notification Center.
NCSettings is available for free on Cydia.
If you’ve it installed then launch Cydia and download the update via the Changes tab. If you’re on a jailbroken iOS device then click on the download link below to install if from Cydia.
Update:
Okay, finally figured out the reason why some of you aren’t seeing the update. It looks like soon after the post when up, the developer removed the update from the ModMyi repo and released it in his repo – cydia.myrepospace.com/JamieD360/. So you need to remove NCSettings that you may have installed from ModMyi repo, add the developer’s repo to install the NCSettings update for the LTE toggle. He has bumped the version to 1.7-2 and removed the LTE/3G/2G option, so you have to choose between 3G/LTE and 2G/LTE toggles.
I have created a quick video on how to install Jamie’s repo and install the latest version of NCSettings. Hope it clears the confusion.
