iPhone Has Failed to Innovate, Says BlackBerry CEO

Thorsten Heins, the CEO of BlackBerry had some biting words to share about their fellow rivals, Apple. In fact, he said that aspects of the iPhone are simply outdated.

The Australian Financial Review [via PCMag] had an interesting interview with the head of one of the biggest and most recognized phone brands in technology, and some of the things Heins had to share about his biggest competitor, Apple, are definitely worth reading, with the mogul saying…
“Apple did a fantastic job in bringing touch devices to market … They did a fantastic job with the user interface, they are a design icon. There is a reason why they were so successful, and we actually have to admit this and respect that,”
“History repeats itself again I guess … the rate of innovation is so high in our industry that if you don’t innovate at that speed you can be replaced pretty quickly,” … “The user interface on the iPhone, with all due respect for what this invention was all about, is now five years old.”
The real question is how people react to the device and so far people really seem to love Apple’s iPhone devices.
However, Heins believes that the Z10 will be the hammer that strikes the nail in the iPhone’s momentum. The device is expected to launch soon in Oceania territories.
