Google Adds AirPlay Like ‘send to TV’ Feature To YouTube App For iOS

Send to TV_iPhone
Google has just released an update for the YouTube app for iOS to add its popular video streaming feature ‘send to TV’.
The feature is similar to Apple’s AirPlay feature. It allows users to wirelessly stream YouTube videos from the app to Google TVs.
Here’s how it works:
When the iOS device with the YouTube app and Google TV are on the same Wi-Fi network, the devices are paired automatically. As you can see in the photo above, you will see a ‘send to TV’ button at the top right corner when you play a video, tapping on it will wirelessly stream the video to your television.
Like a remote control, you can pause, scroll or skip to the next video with your mobile device as it plays on the TV.  You can also do things like find the next video to watch while the video plays on TV.
You will also be able to stream YouTube videos to Xbox and Sony PS3, but you have to pair the devices manually. Google has also noted that the feature will be coming to TVs from LG, Sony, Panasonic and others.
Check out the demo of how the feature works on the Android app:
The update also improves streaming over Wi-Fi network and allows you to record and upload video via YouTube Capture app.
